About Nicol
I am a Registered Social Worker joining CW Therapy group with over 20 years of experience. I lead with both compassion and empathy, which allows me to develop strong and meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients.
I have a background supporting those who have experienced trauma and am a certified Traumatologist. I can support individuals and families, as well as children and teens from diverse communities, cultures and sexual orientations. My work has primarily been focused on supporting those who are managing trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression/anxiety, family challenges, and life stressors/transitions. I also specialize in supporting first responders regarding work stress, relationship issues, and navigating difficult calls.
I focus on empowering you through creating an emotionally safe, supportive and healing space. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed therapies. I strive to provide evidence based and individualized support which respects the dignity, diversity, autonomy of each client. I hope I can support you in regaining a sense of hopefulness and control over your life, while moving towards growth and healing. I believe that therapy is a power tool which can make change long lasting.
